Training Workshop: Working With the Chinese
18.2. 2010 (8:45-16:00)
Helsinki World Trade Center
The latest International Trade Statistics 2009 by WTO foresees that China's international export in 2009 will most likely surpass Germany to become the biggest in the world. The World Investment Report 2009 issued by the UN Trade and Development Conference also pointed out that countries in East Asia and Southeast Asia, in particular China is still the first choice of destination of foreign direct investment (FDI). As for the recent slow recovery of the global economy, the Chinese market is getting more important than ever. Currently, China’s economy is strong, and has seen a growth even during the financial crisis.
When considering doing business in China and with the Chinese, we have to consider the business practices and behavior of the country. Chinese social and business etiquette, business process and culture need to be handled properly. Western companies and business people should take time to truly understand how business in China works, to learn what are so-called “must to learn” when doing business in China, because it is unlikely the B2B approaches or business and moral practices that we are familiar with in Finland or Europe.
Our next practical Chinese business culture training:
